Food and feeding
A varied diet of sinking pellets and algae wafers should be offered to Gomezi corydoras will live and frozen foods. They will readily accept brine shrimp, blood worms and shrimp pellets.
Origin
South America; Gomezi corydoras are to be found in the Amazon River basins of Colombia and Brazil.
Sexing
Viewed from above, the females will be larger and broader.
Breeding
As of yet there are no reported cases of this species to have bred in the aquarium, in the wild it is believed that Gomezi corydoras breed as other Corydoras.
Lifespan
The expected life span is 7 years.
Short description
This Corydoras is one of the rarer species, it may be difficult to find and this will reflect in the price. As with other species, Corydoras gomezi need to be kept in groups of at least 6 fish and are very peaceful. This makes them ideal for the community tank.
