This plant will send out runners from the mother plant, on these there will be tiny plantlets. Once the plantlets start to grow and develop a root system, they will detach from the mother plant and become independent. If the plant starts to overtake the tank then simply pinch out the runners before the plantlets have developed.

Short Description
This is a very undemanding plant, as long as there are nutrients in the substrate it has no other special requirements. It does have a unique habit of growing tall when mature but then returning to a medium height if placed in the background. Sometimes it will send out a flower stem when submerged and this will produce small white flowers on the water surface.
