Food and feeding
Honeycomb tatia is carnivorous and does well on blood worms, tubifex, and chopped earth worms.

South America, Honeycomb tatias inhabit the rivers and waterways.
Sexing
Females tend to be plumper and longer than the males.
Breeding
Tatia perugiae is a cave spawning fish; provide plenty of possible spawning sites by adding caves, wood etc. The male will fertilize the female internally and she will lay the eggs 24-48 hours later. Parental care is non-existent with this species but after hatching the fry should be fed on newly hatched brine shrimp once they are free swimming.

Short description
Even though Tatia perugiae is carnivorous, it still makes a good tank mate in a community tank. They are very docile in the daylight hours but when the lights go out they will swim in the middle of the tank.
